Hope never fades for a child, whose most enduring holiday wish is to catch a glimpse Of Santa Claus as he softly and carefully treads from home to home in the still of the Night. Yet as we rest, covered by a blanket of sleep, his hushed visit is witnessed only by the snowmen guarding our doors. In creating this painting, I recalled the wonder and anticipation I felt as a child for the magical moment when Santa and his sack full of gifts would finally arrive at my home.
