As I imagine the beauty and glory of the manger scene on a cold night long ago, I am overwhelmed by thoughts of gratitude, awe, and peace. It is the glory of this holiday that inspired this work, which symbolizes for me, the real meaning of Christmas. We all experience this holiday in distinct and personal ways, as it evokes a host of feelings – different yet profound for each of us. With this painting, I hoped to capture and portray these dramatic emotions with a tribute to my Creator and the birth of His Son.
