Parrish is selected to be the featured guest at the third annual fund raiser Harvest Ball and Auction for Rogers Memorial Hospital Foundation.Rogers Memorial Hospital is Wisconsin's only freestanding, non-affiliated, non-profit mental health care provider. Intensive inpatient psychiatric services and nationally recognized residential programs address the mental health needs of children, adolescents and adults. For more than 90 years, Rogers has provided comprehensive quality care.
Last year the Foundation launched its second fund raising event to provide funding to assist financially in the care of patients unable to do so themselves. Celebrity comedian and host of The Tonight Show Joan Rivers was last years guest. The previous year at the first annual fund raising event featured a guest appearance by David Crosby musical performer of Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young fame. Many corporate sponsors have also joined in the effort to help Rogers Memorial Hospital Foundation in the ongoing quest to raise money.
Parrish was approached by event Chairman Dr. Donald Fischer and Executive Director Rebecca O'Brien to discuss Parrish's involvement for the 3rd Annual Harvest Ball, the theme of which is The Phantom of The Opera. Parrish realizing the importance and need for ongoing patient care, agreed immediately to help in what ever capacity to raise significant dollars to help out. The Harvest Ball which is to take place on October 30, 1999 will be held at the Westmore Country Club in Brookfield, WI.
Parrish has generously agreed to allow Rogers Memorial Hospital Foundation to release a fine art limited edition print and canvas of one of his unpublished and never before seen Phantom of The Opera works entitled Opening Night. It has been well over 5 years since Parrish's last Phantom release. Having had all of his previous Phantom of The Opera works sold out within days if not hours of their release, this particular very limited edition will certainly attract major interest by collectors world wide upon its release. Parrish describes this piece done in 1992 as one of his most honest and heartfelt renditions of The Phantom.
