MORNING MIST

In this oil on canvas measuring 18" X 24" Parrish captures a lone Timber Wolf amongst the tall grasses as winter approaches. The wolfs senses are the most keen in the animal kingdom. Parrish wanted to bring to the viewer and their own senses what this animal is encountering. Such as the now dormant and noisy shuffling that these grasses make on a cold but quite brisk fall morning. Ever alert and hungry and as the cold wind blows this lone wolf is conscious of all the sound and movements of his environment as it is survival at its very best on a misty fall morning.
