When Brad set out to do a painting that embodied the spirit of our National Parks he wanted to pay homage to the man that created them to preserve this country’s national treasures for generations to come. There was no question in Brad's mind that he wanted to paint a contemporary work using the volcanoes of Hawaii and the lava it has spewed for centuries to create a portrait of the man responsible for its eternal survival as one of our national parks.
